NEA's Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss's birthday are March 2nd, 2009.

Sylvan Learning Center and the National Education Association (NEA) urge all families to join in this important and worthwhile reading celebration.

Sylvan's goal is to ensure every child in North America reads on March 2nd.

Here are ways you can celebrate:

• Attend a Sylvan reading event near you. Click onto the interactive map of the United States and Canada to find a Sylvan reading event in your local community.

• Send an eCard. This is a fun way to encourage friends and family to celebrate reading on March 2nd. Send a note scheduling time to read with your child, or send a note recommending a good book.
